I love photography. I love being out in the field and taking pictures. I absolutely enjoy it and I am told I am quite good at it.
What I dislike (or should I say HATE) though is coming back to the office and having to sort through the 1200 pictures I took. Snapping the pictures is easy, sorting through them is the hard part.
It does get worse though: You know those pictures that are PERFECT except for one minute detail? Yeah, that is where creative editing comes in.
Every so often I will have dozens of pictures of ONE shoot and yet there is only one I really like… and it seems to be the only one that has this annoying imperfection I need to edit away. It’s okay, it’s what I do, but honestly? I’d much rather be out in the field making the shot happen than sit for hours behind the screen trying to do the same thing.
I’ve seriously considered hiring a professional graphic designer to come work for me part time to do this editing for me. As I grow my clientele, I just might have to do that.
I talked to a friend of mine about (he teaches people how to create free 3D ebook covers), and he suggested I outsource it via Upwork or find someone more affordable overseas who can do all the editing for me, and I thought: that is a BRILLIANT idea.
Whichever way I decide to go, you can be sure of one thing: I will be the one out and about snapping pictures!
